Nascent Iodine And Its Antibiotic Properties Nascent iodine or atomidine is giving antibiotics some competition as some experts argue that the atomic form of iodine can provide potent antibiotic properties safely and with less toxicity. This makes it safer to be given to children as compared to conventional antibiotics. You can kill 90 percent of bacteria on the skin in just 90 seconds. Nascent iodine is assessed to have a broad spectrum of activity useful in fighting against a myriad of viruses, bacteria, fungi, protozoa and yeasts. Adherents of atomidine report that it is powerful against such pathogens such as Staphylococcus. It is believed to be the only safe antiseptic enough to be used directly on humans and animals and tissues, but powerful enough to kill all types of pathogens such as gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, mycobacteria, yeasts, fungi, protozoa and viruses. Kill within 15 to 30 seconds most of the bacteria. These observations led some believers to conclude that atomic iodine is the perfect antiviral, antibiotic and antiseptic ever. Although hard against all these microorganisms, nascent iodine is gentle to humans as it has the fewest side effects, including antibiotics and does not pose the risk of developing bacterial resistance. |
